Help! The varnish on my table is ruined?

So I decided to paint my nails in the living room at the coffee table. I spread a towel over it to protect it in case I spilled anything, but I left a cotton ball soaked in nail polish remover on it, and it seeped through! Now there are little towel fibers stuck to the table, and the varnish is ruined! What should I do?
