I've lost all faith because of current way of the human life. Advice please?

Hello, I'm sixteen, and I've been seeing more and more bad things happen in the world. Like the people who live over in 3rd world countries (I think that's what they're called) and starve and such, how dolphins are brutally murdered over in Japan (I think that's where it was, I suck at remembering places.) as seen in the doentary. "The Cove", the huge oil spill and all the sea creatures who are dying cause of it. All these and much more have made me lose any faith in any higher power. The Christan God supposedly gave us freewill, those dolphins don't have freewill, those people who starve don't have freewill, and those sea creatures don't have freewill. I don't know how Mother Earth could allow any of this to happen. I just can't see how a higher being could let government, oil companies, and poachers do this. So, I guess what I am trying to ask, is there anyway I could ever be at peace with myself even though I don't believe in a higher power? I come from a Wiccan family, so I don't have to worry about my parents flipping about not believing in anything, they aren't crazy when it comes to religion. Any advice would be welcomed. Also, don't preach. Advice only, please. Thanks in advance.
