Prom hair for school prom!!?

I went to Fantastic Sams to get a haircut and asked how much would it cost to put my hair in an updo and they said $75, do u think thats a fair price concidering its not a upscale salon.. I called and an upscale salon starts at $55...if hair is long more... hair is an inch p shoulders and is wavy.... so what do u think?
