Did you adopt from within the family? How did it change the family dynamic?

I did legal guardianship of a relative once and it was pure H***. I would NEVER take in another family member in any situation. Family get togethers were horrible. We too were asked to take in this family member---we were not the ones to volunteer. Think it through ahead of time is wise. If we had lived in another state it would have probably worked out better---but as it was we All lived inthee same community.
