My 97 honda with new alternator won't keep battery charged?

After about 30 minutes of driving my car it sputtered and died i had a new alternator put in and tested the battery and it was fine, i can charge the battery over night and drive but it does it again after a few hours i have no idea what it is or what to do please help.
