Why in the world would he veto this bill?

So the House ped a bill recently, that extends things that fall under hate crimes that are protected....like , race, religion etc....they want to add ual orientation to that. The white house has threatened to veto this bill. What kind of message does that send to the entire country. Despite Bush's bigotry towards gays and s and the fear of his precious word "marriage" incorporating them.....this message says..."I really do HATE gays..and if they get their a s s e s kicked, the government applauds the bully and doesn't give two s h i ts about the victim"....nice message.
